Responsible Investment for Space

It is not easy for institutional investors to understand the technologies required for and the environmental impact of space development, and to asses the long-term value of related companies in order to make investments that support their businesses.

Starting in 2020, we have been holding study sessions in order to understand the use of satellite data and how the technology used for space development can be applied to environmental issues on earth. We have also been discussing what investors can do to ensure that long-term capital is allocated to this field.

Digital Reporting Workshop


We have been discussing disclosure related issues since 2014, mostly investors and market participants in Japan and inviting foreign friends.

Discussion themes are chosen from IFRS or Corporate Governance issues and responding public consultation of IASB or other organisations.

Since we responded EU consultation Fitness Check in 2018, we have recently picked up the sustainable / environment topics as agenda.

For anyone interested in investing in space businesses

Mirai is a study group for investors, analysts, researchers, and other members of the investment community  to consider the role of investors in space development, deemed a necessary investment for the long term future. One topic of discussion is how to ensure more capital will be deployed towards space development.

We are looking for institutional investors, with an interest in creating a sustainable future based on space technology to join our study sessions.

To companies involved in space businesses

Mirai is looking for companies and organizations that aim to create a sustainable future through space technology.

Through opportunities to exchange views with institutional investors, we aim to foster an understanding of the need to strengthen sustainability in the global environment and to develop supporters for the growth of companies engaged in space businesses.
